フューチャー・アース国際本部事務局 日本コンソーシアムからのお知らせ

日本学術会議が代表を務める「フューチャー・アース国際本部事務局日本コンソ
ーシアム」は、5月12日、フューチャー・アース国際本部事務局日本ハブ事務局長
（*）（英文正式呼称では、グローバルハブディレクター‐東京）を公募しており
ましたが、選考の結果、日本学術会議連携会員（会長アドバイザー、前副会長）で
あり、国立医薬品食品衛生研究所安全情報部長の春日文子氏を指名することになり
ました。
（*春日氏の当初の任期は、2016年3月末日までです。）
国際本部事務局を担う5ヶ国間の申し合わせに従い、選考にはフューチャー・ア
ース事務局長Paul Shrivastava氏も参加し、春日氏の指名はフューチャー・アース
評議会（ガバニング・カウンシル）の事実上の了承も得ています。
本決定により、フューチャー・アースに対する日本の貢献が、より促進されるこ
とが期待されます。

The Japan Consortium for Future Earth, which is led by Science Council of
Japan (SCJ) and is supporting the Global Hub - Tokyo of the Future Earth
Global (Permanent) Secretariat, announced on 12th of May, 2015 that it
appointed Dr. Fumiko Kasuga as the Future Earth Global Hub Director in
Tokyo after selection committee.
She is a Director at National Institute of Health Sciences, as well as a
member of Science Council of Japan (Advisor to the President of SCJ,
former Vice-President).
* Her initial term will be ended on March 31, 2016.
According to an agreement among five Global Hubs, Professor Paul
Shrivastava, Executive Director of Future Earth had joined the selection
process. Her appointment was also has been endorsed by Future Earth
Governing Council.
The Japan Consortium expects this decision would facilitate Japan’s
contribution to Future Earth smoother than before.
